Art&Soul of Oakland County is dedicated to increasing the rate of adoption in Oakland County, Michigan, through a traveling photo exhibit showcasing children looking for their forever families.
The "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" Project donated $2000 to Art&Soul in December 2017 which was used for gifts for the foster children participants.
The Canine Advocacy Program (CAP) was developed to provide advocacy services to child victims utilizing a highly trained dog to help alleviate the anxiety associated with being involved in the criminal justice system.
This program was one of the ten organizations supported by the Project Beautiful - Inside & Out "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project in December 2017. $2000 was donated and put toward treat boxes and personalized kerchiefs for the support dogs.
Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS) is one of the largest providers of housing for homeless families in Detroit.
In December 2016, Project Beautiful - Inside and Out supported the Pictures of Hope program at COTS with gifts of Amazon Fire 7" tablets to the 15 moms.
COTS was also our partner in May 2015 for our inaugural "Panties in a Bunch Brunch"! We collected and donated: 30 bra/panty gift sets, 6900 tampons/pads/liners, 3900 diapers/wipes, 800 pairs of socks/underwear, 500 oz. of formula and 6 large bins of toiletries. We also sponsored and fed dinner and ice cream desserts to 100 COTS residents.
Cooper Street Cookies is a Metro Detroit-based family owned and operated business employing special needs adults to make their delicious, all natural cookies! Made from simple quality ingredients, their cookies are nut and dairy free, 40 calories per cookie, low sodium, made with no corn syrup or trans fat. In January 2017, we treated the employees and staff of Cooper Street Cookies to a delicious lunch compliments of Vinsetta Garage and free movie passes from AMC Theatres as part of our "Let's Do Lunch!" Program.
DC Strong is a Non-Profit Organization that brings personalized gifts and exciting experiences to children battling cancer in order to lighten their spirits and help them through the fight.
Project Beautiful - Inside & Out put on the DRIVE OUT CHILDHOOD CANCER event in October 2017 to raise money for these kids with fun thrill rides, silent auction items, crafts, live music, and more. $7,000 was raised and will be used to remind children why they keep fighting and why life is worth fighting for.
In 2018, DC Strong participated in Project Beautiful's Horsepower for Hope event at M1 Concourse. Ten of the organization's children and their families got to participate in a day of car-themed fun, including thrill rides in Dodge Hellcats and Vipers! They also received a check for $1,000 from Project Beautiful.
Dream Center of Pontiac addresses hunger, poverty, addiction, education and human trafficking in the Pontiac community.
In December 2017, the Dream Center of Pontiac received $2000 from the "Twenty Thousand Smiles" project that provided 40% of the new furniture for Lookout House, transitional housing for young men in Pontiac.
The Empowerment Plan is an amazing organization founded by Veronika Scott. The organization hires women from local shelters, teaches them how to sew, and manufactures coats that turn into sleeping bags for the homeless community.
Project Beautiful - Inside and Out invited five seamstresses to dinner and the Drake Concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills on May 28, 2015.
On March 31, 2016, The Empowerment Plan was the first beneficiary of our "Let's Do Lunch!" Program, generously donated by Downtown Louie's Lounge!
The mission of First Step, located in Wayne County, is to eliminate both domestic and sexual violence and to provide comprehensive services to individuals and families impacted by these crimes.
First Step is one of the three domestic violence shelters Project Beautiful - Inside and Out supported Mother's Day 2017, with gift bags for the adults, Mother's Day brunch for all residents, donations to the shelter of frequently needed items, and a lasting donation of $1,500 toward repairs and beautification projects.
Project Beautiful - Inside and Out was thrilled to once again support First Step on Mother’s Day 2018. In addition to brunch for the residents, donations of needed items, we donated $1,500 toward beautification of the grounds.
Friends of Foster Kids (FOFK) works with The Department of Human Services to give Metro Detroit foster children a special Christmas. The organization also supports foster children throughout the year with back to school supplies; and for college bound foster children - laptops, college textbooks and bus passes or bikes.
Project Beautiful - Inside & Out's "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project helped purchase Christmas gifts for the children with a $2000 donation in December 2017.
HAVEN is Oakland County’s only comprehensive program for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault -- providing shelter, counseling, advocacy and educational programming to nearly 20,000 people each year.
Haven is one of the three domestic violence shelters Project Beautiful - Inside and Out supported Mother's Day 2017, with gift bags for the adults, Mother's Day brunch for all residents, donations to the shelter of frequently needed items, and a lasting donation of $1,500 toward their pet shelter.
We were so excited to be supporting Haven again on Mother’s Day 2018. In addition to brunch for all residents, gift bags with needed items, Project Beautiful also donated $1,500 which was used towards the purchase of new mattresses.
High School Glam Suite is an organization dedicated to nurturing both the inward and outward ideals of beauty and self-image for young high school aged women through workshops and mentorships programs.
Project Beautiful was honored and excited to be the Title Sponsor for High School Glam Suite’s 2018 Class, helping make prom possible and special for four deserving young ladies from Cass Tech High school in Detroit
Hope Against Trafficking (HAT) helps adult female survivors of sex and labor trafficking in Southeast Michigan. The program is a 24-month residential program that provides rent-free housing and comprehensive services focused on physical, mental and individual transformation.
$2000 was donated to this organization in December 2017 through the "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project and helped fund operating costs of their newly launched house in Pontiac.
The goal of The Horatio Williams Foundation is to be lifelong vehicles to helping children in Detroit become leaders. They offer a variety of programs under the two categories: leadership and sports.
The "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project sponsored tickets for Detroit middle school students to attend the Tipoff Classic Basketball Tournament in December 2017. Their attendance hopefully allowed them to be inspired by older hard working athletes.
Project Beautiful - Inside and Out collected nearly $5000 in items and donations at our October 17, 2015 Home Goods Donation Drive and Chili Cook Off to benefit Humble Design, in Pontiac, MI.

The mission of Judson Center is: to provide expert, comprehensive services in southeastern Michigan that strengthen children, adults and families impacted by abuse and neglect, autism, developmental disabilities, and mental health challenges so they are successful in their communities.
The mission of Kids Kicking Cancer is to ease the pain of sick children while empowering them to heal physically, spiritually and emotionally. Kids Kicking Cancer is a global organization dedicated to lowering the pain of children through the teaching of martial arts as a therapy. Children learn breathe work, meditation, and traditional karate movements that empower them to teach others and thus gain purpose within their lives.

Lighthouse of Oakland County's PATH Program is a transitional supportive housing program designed to help homeless women and children gain the skills and confidence needed to live safely and independently.
We supported 40 mothers in this program with Mother's Day gift bags from donations collected at our April 13, 2016, our "Make Someone's Mother's Day" fundraiser at Bastone.
Orchard's Children's Services provides, adoption, foster parenting, family preservation and other children's services in South Eastern Michigan. Project Beautiful - Inside and Out invited teens from their Youth Leadership Board to participate in our Auto Show Talk & Walk in January 2017.
Paws With A Cause enhances the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities nationally through custom-trained Assistance Dogs.
$2000 was donated in December 2017 through our "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project and helped support the training of Assistance Dogs and Paws With A Cause's mission.
Linda Solomon and her award-winning Pictures of Hope program has helped change lives of children living in shelters in 49 cities. The children are given cameras and capture on film their hopes and dreams. The media attention of the program has helped many of the dreams get fulfilled, including full-ride college scholarships!
In 2016, we helped make the experience extra special for the families! We supported Shelter of Flint with gift bags for the parents and a donation of five crib / mattress sets to the shelter. For COTS in Detroit, we gifted each mom with a new Amazon Fire 7" tablet. Project Beautiful - Inside and Out also sponsored a $500 prize for a greeting card re-design competition at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan.
Project 1's mission is: To mobilize the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors to make a difference in the lives of those in need - one person, one family, one cause at a time. They provide assistance to those who have been impacted by an unforeseen crisis in their life.
In April 2017 and 2018, Project Beautiful - Inside and Out competed in their "Who's Your Bartender?" event, raising funds for both Project Beautiful and Project 1!
The Rainbow Connection makes dreams come true for Michigan children with life threatening medical conditions. In addition, we provide support services to eligible wish families experiencing financial difficulties. Their vision is to be recognized as the leading wish granting organization in Michigan.

They also received a check for $1,000 from Project Beautiful.
The Rochester Community House is a local event center that holds fundraisers and events while also being the home of an active food pantry. They give back by sponsoring one monthly meal for the Rochester Community.
Proceeds equalling $1750 from our September 2017 Cocktails for Confidence event were donated to this great organization.
Project Beautiful - Inside and Out is so glad we can support the Ruth Ellis Center, which serves annually nearly 500 of the estimated 800-1000 runaway, homeless, and at-risk LGBTQ youth in Metro Detroit. Their services include Ruth's House (housing / foster care for 9 individuals), a Drop-In Center (meals, laundry, clothing, showers, counseling), mental health services and family counseling.
Our support of The Ruth Ellis Center has grown quickly since December 2016, when we supported their drop-in center with a donation of 55 pairs of winter boots and sponsorship of five group dinners for 50. In January 2017, teens from Ruth's House participated in Project Beautiful - Inside and Out's Auto Show Talk & Walk. On April 28th, 2017, Project Beautiful - Inside and Out's Inaugural "Rainbow Cabaret" raised $40,000 to benefit Ruth Ellis Center! An additional $1500 was raised for Ruth Ellis in June 2017 at a private Pure Romance Happy Hour!
Project Beautiful - Inside & Out has also helped by supporting the Ruth Ellis Food Pantry program with a $2000 donation through the "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project in December 2017.
Project Beautiful - Inside and Out was also thrilled to be the Presenting Sponsor for the Inaugural Catfight for the Crown - an amateur drag pageant produced by Harris Van Cleef that took place in June of 2018. This event raised an AMAZING $110,000 for The Ruth Ellis Health and Wellness Center!
Sanctum House is a safe home for survivors of human trafficking to heal and rebuild their lives. They provide a 24-month program offering shelter, personal development and education for women 18 years of age or older.
In December 2017, a donation of $2000 through the "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project helped furnish bedroom suites for the first 4 women to move into Sanctum House in January 2018.
The Shelter of Flint serves more than 1,000 adults and children each day with emergency shelter, transitional and permanent supportive housing, and other supportive services.
Project Beautiful - Inside and Out supported the Shelter of Flint as part of Pictures of Hope. On November 21, 2016, we will helped make the "Meet the Young Artists" Reception extra special for the families with gift bags valued at $150 for each parent. We also made a lasting donation of five cribs/mattresses (valued at $750) to the Shelter of Flint.
One of the shelter's teens inspired Project Beautiful - Inside and Out's Auto Show Talk & Walk Program. Three teens and their parents participated in January 2017.
Turning Point provides programs and resources that enable victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to regain control of their lives.
In July 2016, Project Beautiful - Inside and Out donated 100% of the needs list items for Turning Point's new Children's Counseling Room at their new St. Clair Shores location.
Project Beautiful - Inside and Out has supported Turning Point on Mother's Day 2016 and 2017 with gift bags for the moms, brunch for the families, and needs list item donations. In 2017, we also contributed $1,500 toward raised garden beds and other projects.
We were thrilled to help Turning Point for a third consecutive year on Mother’s Day in 2018. In addition to providing gift bags, brunch for the families, Project Beautiful - Inside and Out also donated $2,500 which was used to purchase new mattresses.
United Community Family Services (Chaldean American Ladies of Charity) is a U.S. government approved social service agency serving newly arrived refugees and immigrants, many of whom have been victims of horrible atrocities. Their mission is to deliver innovative care, support and education to the poor, homeless and hungry while building their skills to succeed and assimilate into this country. Annually they serve 6,000 families through a variety of programs including a food pantry that distributes 50,000 meals, training and educational workshops, senior citizen programs, after school tutoring, ESL classes, work readiness and job placement programs, immigration legal assistance and much more.
In June 2017, Project Beautiful - Inside and Out supported the amazing work of this organization with a $2000 donation to go toward new mattresses for their clients.
Interim House, a program of the YWCA of Metropolitan Detroit, is the only domestic violence shelter located within Detroit city limits. Their 67-bed facility serves women and children survivors, with an average length of 30 to 60 days.
We donated $2000 to go toward the maintenance of the building through our "Twenty Thousand Smiles!" project in December 2017.
In May of 2018, Project Beautiful - Inside and Out hosted a special Mother’s Day for 4 Metro Detroit domestic violence shelters, with Interim House being one of them. In addition to brunch for the women and their families, gift bags with needed items were donated, as well as $1,500 to the shelter for a project of their choice. Interim House’s donation went to new windows for the shelter.
