Project Beautiful - Inside and Out is excited to share that our inaugural RAINBOW CABARET raised $40,000 for The Ruth Ellis Center!!!  What a fun night with draq performances by Natalie Cole, Hailey Charles and Deja Van Cartier, Fashion Show by Dolce Moda in Birmingham, music by DJ Jeffrey Sfire and delicious food and drink from Hour Detroit Magazine 2017 Restaurant of the Year: Bistro 82!

The Ruth Ellis Center serves annually nearly 500 of the estimated 800-1000 runaway, homeless, and at-risk LGBTQ youth in Metro Detroit.  Their services include Ruth's House (housing / foster care for 9 individuals), a Drop-In Center (meals, laundry, clothing, showers, counseling), mental health services and family counseling.  The $40,000 will go towards the Health and Wellness Center capital Campaign.

We are honored that Sarah Kate Ellis, President & CEO of GLAAD, and staff attended the event to show their support!  GLAAD works through entertainment, news, and digital media to share stories from the LGBTQ community that accelerate acceptance.

Special thanks to the Core Planning Committee members (Nicole Eisenberg, Jessie Beld-Elliott, Jeff Gillis Newsom, Jenny Ouliguian and Christopher Webb), event sponsors, live auction, silent auction and swag bag item donors, vendor partners, attendees and donors that helped make this event such a success!!

Look for a bigger and better event in 2018!
